Willie Earl Scott GlobalStorm Publishing 2003

Book Description Heaven and Hell On Earth, an intellectually gritty tome in the vein of Dan Brown and Donald Goines, is a powerful genre-blending thriller of approximately 260,000 words that mixes street, t a b o o  e r o t i c a and c rime fiction with dark history, urban theology and sociopolitics. A pair coming of age characters, Gabriel and Lucifer are twin phenoms separated at birth and raised in totally different circumstances. The world is their playground.

Unbelievable the knowledge and potency mixed with the pure entertainment that this novel packs.

It wasn't that this book wasn't good. It was quite good. Exquisitely written by someone who's clearly intelligent. Artful in its lingual acrobatics masquerading as naked storytelling (it's as if writing didn't come naturally to the author but his intelligence burns through the awkwardness and produces some good stuff ... kind of reminds me of my father's emails). Insightful on historical, racial, religious, sociological, and gender relations levels. But, Jesus Christ, this book is drenched in forbiddance and abnormalities. The author could just as easily be called disturbed. That the literary and creative world could be mastered by such jinns is almost unfathomable. Not just Scott, but the James Pattersons and Donald Trumps and Elon Musks nearly everybody like them. Even if it's sensational and in parts palpably made-up, the characters are real, and trying to reconcile a couple characters' monstrosity with the realization that they're human is a really difficult exercise. I don't know. I didn't take lots pleasure in reading this. I do think it's a hell of a document, and very well-written. I do feel I learned a lot from it. But if the rating is based on whether I liked what I read vs what I thought was good, I can say only I didn't like it. Maybe that changes in a few days, weeks, months

This book spoke to me. It made me feel alive. It made me think truly about life and sacrifice and what was love. What is love? Is it an action? A feeling? A way to show you care? And another thing...can you fight sin while loving just ... anybody? This book gives you answers without telling you directly. It makes you think. It makes you question people and morality and love so much. I don't think love and living will be the same for me ever again! I love this book so much. I could see myself falling for a guy like Willie Earl Scott...or Willie Earl Scott..
